Curator's Eye

As a way of visually exploring his personal thoughts, stories and inspirations, Kyung Tae Kim makes use of found objects and multiple frames in these readymade-like works. Although the objects in Kim’s work may first appear ordinary and mundane, they possess great meaning for the artist and are symbolic of his memories and life history. Kim also includes paintings within these installations, and there is a sense of continued conversation between them and the objects that seeks to highlight Kim’s flowing thoughts and emotions. Here is an experienced, confident artist who has exhibited internationally whose works will appeal to sophisticated collectors.
