Curator's Eye

The conceptual, research-based work of Hannah Thompson is inextricably connected to the natural anatomy of the rural British landscape. Visually translating the extraction of data from a given topography, continuously shifting terrain is depicted through subtle yet complex sculptures of organically winding steel and dense mounds of concrete. Other works actually incorporate materials extracted from a moorland, further highlighting this synthesis between art and the natural world.
