Phila Hillie is a visual artist, illustrator and architecture graduate from South Africa. Her work is inspired by women (particularly women of colour) and explores the various ways they can be represented and celebrated. Her work is also inspired by women and their relationship with culture and space in the South African context. Her aim is to portray stories that explore women, their thoughts, curiosities and experiences.
