About Phoebe

Phoebe Stringer is a female European fine artist born in 1995 in London, Great Britain. Raised in Dalston and trained primarily in sculpture, Phoebe attended the University of Westminster for her Honors Degree and later attended The Slade School of Fine Art for her master’s degree. She currently creates sculpture in her Hoxton-based studio.
“My work centers around the online world of obscure internet forums, the language used between users and the identities formed within these circles. The pieces use graphic pop imagery of internet iconography that have been recreated by my own sculpting and embroidery to be reformed into a new entity. To summarize, my work is an investigation into how internet culture has reformed our collective sense of identity.”
Selected exhibitions include: “Secret Lab” Bermondsey Project space Duo (2021); “Pacific Breeze 2” White Conduit London Group (2021); “Driving the Whoopee” White Conduit London Group (2021); “Reflections” OPED space Tokyo Group (2020).
