Description
This series is a reaction against the recent policing of safe queer and kink friendly spaces in boroughs of London and the antiquated gender binaries by which the local council defined clothing and “semi-nudity” regulations. The focus on body harnesses rather than the bodies themselves symbolises the policing of queer bodies and the removal of them by making these spaces no longer ones of free expression. Conversely, the lack of a body could also be read as a lack of gender signifiers, a lack of judgement, or the relative anonymity that many events favour.
