Description
The paintings in the Dénia series are based on the sights, textures and sensory input of the town in Eastern Spain where Miguel spent many Summer months with his family as a child and adolescent. The series is based entirely on physical and emotional memory rather than actual imagery or mementos. Technically, Miguel's initial ideas developed into an abstract, strongly geometric language executed with oil impasto mixed with marble dust to create unique textures.
