Yang Dae-won is a visual artist born in South Korea in 1966. The primary aim of Dae-won’s work is to express the content of human psychology: life, death, desire, tears, love and jealousy, through a visual language. Until recently, Dae-won focused on creating flat, two-dimensional works; since 2019, they have been working on utilising objects and creating installations. Dae-won was completed residencies in France, India and Taiwan, and has exhibited work at multiple international art fairs, including Scope Art Show Miami and LA Art Fair. Selected solo exhibitions include Golden Tears at Urbanart, Seoul (2019); Old Tears at Usine Utopik, Normandy, France (2012); Doubt I at Savina Museum, Seoul (2008).
